Enterprise Plans Further Expansion

In Capacity of LPG Export Facility
In Capacity of LPG Export Facility Houston—Enterprise
Products Partners is planning an additional expansion
of its liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) export terminal
on the Houston Ship Channel, which will increase its capability
to load fully-refrigerated, low-ethane propane.
In March, Enterprise completed an expansion of its
LPG export facility, increasing its low-ethane propane capacity
to about 7.5-million bbls per month from approximately
4-million bbls per month (PCN, 11 Mar 2013, p 3).
Enteprise noted that the facility has “performed above expectations”
and is currently loading more than 8-million
bbls of propane per month.
The new expansion, which is expected to be completed
in the first quarter of 2015, will increase loading capacity
to about 9-million bbls per month.
Enterprise believes that as production of natural gas
liquids from domestic shale plays increases and demand
for propane feedstock for global ethylene crackers grows,
the terminal will continue to operate above capacity.
