BASF Plans Geismar PU Systems House Geismar—
BASF said it plans to build a new $42-million polyurethane (PU) systems house in Geismar, La., creating 22 new jobs at BASF and more than 160 construction jobs in the area. Construction will begin in the second quarter of 2014 on the facility, which will develop, serve and manufacture innovative PU systems for a wide range of applications, while also improving reaction speed and service, the company explained.
